Dr. Kelechukwu Onwukamike is a Nigerian Research Scientist at Procter & Gamble Germany. He graduated with a First-Class Hons in Industrial Chemistry from Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigeria in Dec. 2011. He received a scholarship to join the Erasmus Mundus MSc in Functionalized Advanced Materials and Engineering (FAME) which he graduated with a Double MSc degree & among the top of his class in June 2015.
In Feb. 2016, he got a European Union funding to participate in the Marie-curie European Joint Doctoral in Functional Materials (EJD-FunMAT) between Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany, and University of Bordeaux, France. Upon graduating in Feb. 2019, he received a Double PhD degree in Organic Chemistry (KIT-Germany) and Polymer Chemistry (University of Bordeaux, France). His PhD research was focused on developing sustainable approaches for designing materials from cellulose. His PhD work resulted in the publication of 6 research articles in high impact journals.
He currently leads a mentorship platform where graduate students get coached towards applying and securing scholarships around the world. His strong passion for supporting young graduates to grow in their careers is identified by his mantra “Till we all win; we are always work in progress”.
